Qualification
PhD Ideally in computational biology, bioinformatics, or biostatistics.
Research Experience
Applicants should have at least one-year postdoctoral research experience with proven track record in terms of publications in academia and presentations in conferences.
Applicants from industry are invited and they must be able to describe their research impact and their desire to work in a non-profit organization, in their cover letter.
Your experience will be positively weighed in during the application process.
Required Skills
Proficiency in a programming especially in Python.
Statistical data analysis environments such as in R is highly preferred.
Version control systems such as git is essential.
Work with HPC environments, batch submission systems (Slurm, LSF, etc.)
Knowledge of linux or related operating system.
Workflow managers like nextflow and snakemake.
Application of statistical tools or must have designing of bespoke statistics or other machine learning methods in sequencing analysis.
Extensive knowledge on the computational side of bioinformatics, in order to liaise with the IT infrastructure is essential.
