Microbiology Facility

The microbiological facility forms core of the research activities being undertaken. It’s equipped with the most basic to advanced instruments for performing both routine and advanced microbiology and molecular biology experiments. Biosafety Cabinets, Incubator shakers, Anaerobic workstations, Ultrasonic probe sonicator, Multimode plate reader, Gel-documentation system, NanoDrop, Fast Performance Liquid Chromatography (FPLC) system, High-Speed Centrifuges, and Thermocyclers are some of them. The facility is designed and operated in compliance with all the biosafety regulations.

The facility provides comprehensive capabilities for microbial cultivation, anaerobic microbiology, nucleic acid and protein analysis, molecular characterization, and functional studies of microorganisms. Designed and operated in accordance with established national and international biosafety guidelines, the laboratory ensures a safe and controlled environment for handling diverse microbial cultures and biological samples. This integrated infrastructure enables high-quality research in areas ranging from fundamental microbial biology to translational applications in health, food, agriculture, and environmental sciences.
